Patrick Sommirman Lambon MPhil Student

Patrick Sommirman Lambon is a master’s student in MPhil. Mathematical and Computational Physics at the Department of Physics, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and MSc. Mathematical Engineering at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Scienze dell'Informazione e Matematica, università degli Studi dell'Aquila, L’Aquila, Italy, where he began his master’s studies in January 2024 and September 2024, respectively. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS), Navrongo and a Diploma in Computer Science from University for Development Studies (UDS).

His current research focuses on the use of Computational fluid dynamics models to study patterns and dynamics of fluid flow in wastewater treatment.

Research and Technical Expertise

  • Numerical Simulations: Finite difference methods (FDM), finite volume methods (FVM), and finite element methods (FEM) for fluid flow.
  • Analytical/Semi-Analytical Solution Using Laplace-Fourier Transform with Caputo fractional derivative.
