Benard Abudu Profile
Benard Abudu is a master’s student currently enrolled in the REALMATHS consortium, offering the double master’s programme in MSC Mathematical Engineering and MPhil Mathematical and Computational Physics at the University of L'Aquila and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), respectively. His research area includes computational material modelling with focus on Refractory metals using Density Functional Theory and Molecular Dynamics Simulations their properties. He holds a BSc in Physics from KNUST with a focus on materials.
Research and Technical Expertise
- Quantum and Classical Simulation on Refractory metals and the effect of interstitial solute on their properties under various conditions.
- HPC & Scientific Computing Languages: Python (Atomic Simulation Environment, NumPy, Matplotlib, SciPy), VESTA, Material Project.
- Systems: High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments, Vienna Ab initio Simulation Package (VASP), Large-scale Atomic/Molecular Massively Parallel Simulator(LAMMPS)
