Dr. Christiana Subaar Appointed Examination Officer for Department of Physics
The Department of Physics at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi has appointment of Dr. Christiana Subaar as its new Examination Officer. She becomes the first woman to hold this pivotal administrative role within the department. A distinguished Senior Lecturer with over two decades of experience in STEM education, Dr. Subaar brings extensive academic expertise and institutional knowledge to the position.
Her appointment is widely regarded as a significant step toward promoting gender diversity within the university’s scientific leadership.
Dr. Subaar specializes in medical physics and nuclear science and technology, and her career has been defined by a strong commitment to both advanced research and the practical application of science to public health.
She currently leads critical research on radiation dose optimization, aimed at ensuring that medical imaging and treatment procedures remain safe and effective for patients.Beyond her research work, Dr. Subaar is also recognized for her contributions to innovative curriculum development, radiation safety and student empowerment.
In her new role as Examination Officer, she will oversee the administration and integrity of the department’s academic assessments, helping to sustain the Department of Physics’ long-standing reputation for academic excellence.
