Maxwell Yaw Quaicoe Proflie

ProfileMaxwell Yaw Quaicoe is an MPhil student in Mathematical and Computational Physics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). His research focuses on computational materials modelling using Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations, particularly the development and optimisation of Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for the removal of heavy metals from wastewater. He holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Ghana.

Research and Technical Expertise

  • Computational modelling of MOFs and zeolites for heavy-metal adsorption, particularly mercury and lead in water.
  • Density Functional Theory, Molecular Dynamics simulations, Machine Learning.
  • Scientific computing using Python, MATLAB, Fortran, and C++, with experience in VASP and HPC scripting.
