Benjamin Ampah Profile

ProfileI am currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Mathematical and Computational Physics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. I hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Pure Mathematics, with a strong academic foundation in mathematical analysis and numerical methods.

My current research focuses on mathematically modelling and optimising green hydrogen production using hybrid solar–wind energy systems without battery storage. Specifically, I investigate how solar and wind uncertainties affect the operating performance, efficiency, and hydrogen output of Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysers. My research aims to develop an uncertainty-aware mathematical framework to optimise solar–wind capacity configurations and improve the reliability and efficiency of green hydrogen production.

In addition to my research, I served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at KNUST during my national service, where I prepared instructional materials, led tutorial sessions, and supported undergraduate students academically. I have also worked as a Mathematics SAT Instructor and participated in specialised academic programmes in mathematical physics, numerical methods, and computational science.
