Mathematical and Computational Physics Unit, Department of Physics (KNUST) undertake Exchange Programme at University of L’Aquila (UAQ), Italy
Under the framework of a Cooperation Agreement signed between University of L’Aquila (UAQ) and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2020. The Mathematical and Computational Physics unit was recently awarded with a one (1) month visiting fellow Scholarship to Dr. Henry Martin and five (5) Student Scholarships to visit the University of L’Aquila for five (5) months.
The students, who are the first batch of MPhil and PhD in Mathematical and Computational Physics at the Department of Physics, will have the opportunity to take various courses from the Interdisciplinary Mathematics (InterMaths) Network Programme at Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics (DISIM) and the Department of Physical and Chemical Sciences (DSFC).
Prof. Bruno Rubino, who serves as both the Vice Rector for International Affairs and the Coordinator for InterMaths Double Degree programme receives his former student (Dr. Henry Martin) and the five students from the Department of Physics.
