| About the ConferenceFollowing the E-Learning African International School on Quantum Science and Technology (ELAIS-QST 2024), the African International Conference on Quantum Computing and Simulation <AoC|Q> will gather leading experts, scientists, researchers and students from across Africa in different fields such as materials science, physics, chemistry, engineering and others to explore cutting-edge quantum algorithms and their applications in simulating complex systems. This 7-day event will feature a rich program of opening ceremony, keynote presentations, roundtable discussions, interactive workshop series with lectures, tutorials or hands-on, outreach to senior high schools in Kumasi, and poster sessions, each designed to delve into various aspects of classical-quantum algorithms of complex systems. Scope and FocusThe undoubted significance of complex systems in all aspects of life (healthcare, infrastructure, energy production and storage, communication, transportation and others) requires finding novel, sustainable, affordable, efficient and optimal ways of incorporating state-of-the-art technologies. In recent times, the unique qualities of a decade-old "Quantum Theory" or "Quantum Mechanics" as an emergent revolutionizing cutting-edge field are employed for advanced technology and innovation. | |

| VenueThe Impact Building at KNUST is a 7-storey structure that houses the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program (MCFSP) and the University Accommodation and Conferences (UAC). The building was a collaboration between KNUST and the Mastercard Foundation, and its architectural design was created by a KNUST student. It serves as a hostel, conference venue, and administrative center, offering accommodation and event facilities on campus. | |||
